Adam presented a detailed discussion of some of ‘hot topics’ that have recently tended to create problems, issues, and disputes during the court of non-judicially supervised trust administrations that need to be addressed in probate court proceedings. Topics included surety bond requirements for successor trustees, Heggstad petitions, and financial elder abuse allegations in connection with the work of estate planning attorneys, financial advisors, and other planning and administration professionals who assist in the procurement of donative transfers and testamentary acts.
